WELCOME TO THE FOURTH ANNUAL LANDLOCKED FILM FESTIVAL!
Landlocked Film Festival… we’re right in the middle of a lot of land. No coasts, but plenty of culture here in the American heartland. Landlocked is a competitive festival taking place in historic and lovely downtown Iowa City.
Established in 2007, we've experienced dramatic growth in our short history. The festival brings thousands of people into the heart of downtown Iowa City to watch independent films and learn about the crafts of filmmaking and scriptwriting. The beautiful and historic Englert Theatre serves as our flagship venue. Screenings, panels and workshops also take place in Iowa City's state-of-the-art library and the Sheraton and hotelVetro conference facilities.
Landlocked presents independently made documentaries and narrative films and videos of lengths ranging from two minutes to two hours. You'll find animation, art films, outrageous comedy, sweet stories, action and adventure, heartwarming and heartbreaking drama, hard-hitting documentaries and even some zombies and aliens. An added bonus is that many of the directors, actors and film artists who made the movies will be at the festival.
It's fun. It's intriguing. It's educational.
Don't miss out!
