 FESTIVAL
THEATERS
The four indoor festival theaters are all connected via the Pedestrian
Mall, where cars are not permitted. You can move from one theater to
the next without crossing a street.

Specific directions on finding the theaters inside the buildings listed
above
Parking is available on
the streets throughout downtown Iowa City, but spaces can be hard to
find. Meters must be fed Mon-Sat 8am to 5pm. You
may find it simpler to use one of the many parking ramp facilities which
are marked on the map below, all within easy walking distance of the
Pedestrian Mall and all festival venues. All ramps charge less than $1/hr.
Finding the theaters inside the buildings:
Englert - Go right into the main lobby directly at 221 East Washington
Street
Iowa City Public Library - Room A, a large and well-equipped screening
room, is located just inside the front door and within the main floor
lobby area
hotelVetro Plaza Room - Vetro's conference
facilities are on the second floor and are easily reached through the
entrance on the Pedestrian Mall directly across
from the Iowa City Public Library, or directly via a pedestrian bridge from the
Dubuque Street Parking Ramp into the second floor area of hotelVetro.
If you enter on the main floor, there is a wide staircase to the second
floor, and also an elevator near the Pedestrian Mall
entrance which
can
take you
upstairs.
hotelVetro Lehmann Ballroom - Same as Plaza Room
Sheraton Lindquist Theater - Enter the Sheraton's
lobby, either from Dubuque Street or from the Pedestrian Mall; then follow the
wide staircase down to the conference facility. There is also an elevator in
the lobby which can take you downstairs.
Sheraton Dean Ballroom - Same as Lindquist Theater
Pentacrest - In front of MacBride Hall near the corner of Jefferson and Clinton
Streets, a giant screen will be raised against the pillars of MacBride Hall.
Spectators usually bring lawn chairs to sit on the lawn in front of the building.
The family-friendly screening will be shown here on Saturday night, August 11,
2007.
